Welcome to little miss findability. This is my little piece of internet real estate and it’s all about findability and SEO practices. Who am I? My name is Manny and I am a student at The Art Institute of Atlanta and this is the final result of a quarter long study in Findability.

This is my findability site/blog. It is part of an on-going project in the class. It is built using Wordpress and my own two hands. I’ll first explain the name of the site, little miss findability. It’s basically a play on the title for the movie. Is not very clever, but I liked it and everyone else seems to have liked the lack of wittiness on my part.

So now let me explain the class. Basically we spent about 10 weeks discussing and implementing SEO into our own designs. We learned about search engines, robot files, meta tags, analysis software, rich media, black and white hat seo, rss, microformats and much much more.

I implemented many things that I learned into this site. I added keywords and meta tag information, I’ve submitted my site to several search engines, I’ve submitted my xml sitemaps to Google and Yahoo. I think the best thing to happen is my position in Technorati. If you do a search for findability in Technorati you will find my site in the top 4 blogs.

I’ve also applied some plugins to my Wordpress install to help me track my site traffic and help me control aspects of this installation to make it more accessible.

That is all I have to say about my site, why don’t you start off by visiting the blog and reading some of the articles I’ve posted. Then you can go visit some of the other pages for extra information. Enjoy!
